This week is a busy one. Each class worked hard to earn some time to play in the gym. We had a lot of fun playing with the equipment, racing and learning some new games.
Thursday is our 100th day celebration. Your child is welcome to bring a baggie with a hundred items (cereal, macaroni, marshmallow, etc.) We will weigh and compare the items to go long with our measurement unit.
Thursday is also the last day to sign up for SEP conferences, let me know if we need to set up a different time.
Next week, is Valentine's Day, your child is welcome to bring 24 unaddressed valentines to share with the class. The PTA is putting on a Valentine's Day tea, so your child is welcome to dress in their best and have a fun day.
Next Thursday and Friday is SEP conferences. There will be no Kindergarten on Friday in order for me to be able to meet with everyone. Sign up online, I am looking forward to meeting with all of you.

New Year's Resolution!
Parents!
I apologize for not keeping up with this. We hit the holidays and life got crazy. I have made a New Year's resolution to be better at updating this blog. So here it goes. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. It has been a bit of a transition getting back to work but I think we are getting there.
This week:
Letter:Bb
Math: Shapes (last week!)
Theme: Winter
Today we had a visit from Fireman Jake. He taught us a couple of rules about how to be safe in case of a fire in our home.
1: In case of smoke "Get Low, Below, the smoke."
2: "Get outside and stay outside." Don't go back in for anything!
3: "Don't hide, Get outside."
He also talked about having a family meeting place, so it may be a good idea to come up with one if you haven't or review the one you have.
Few reminders for this week:
Wednesday the PTA is putting on WESTERN NIGHT-Dads and Daughters. Kindergarten through second is from 6-7 p.m.
Thursday the PTA is putting on WESTERN NIGHT-Moms and Sons. Kindergarten through second is 6-7 p.m.
Hope you can come support the PTA it should be a fun and memorable night.
Also, no school on Monday (16th) enjoy your long weekend!
Finally, I have gotten caught up with assessments so the next couple of days your child will be coming home with assessments we did. Review the things your child misses with them.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Thanks
